Organic Toasted Apple Crostinis

I don't have a sweet tooth. I have sweet teeth. And in a separate post, I'll rant to you why sugar is really your enemy and not fat (unprocessed, mind you)- but for now, here's an express snack that'll satisfy your sweet cravings, WITHOUT any sugar!

Toasted Apple Crostinis

I did this in my office kitchen just now in oh, 15 minutes? The oven did all the work.

You'll need:

1 apple, sliced  (in any shape or form, as you can see from above...4 cuts on the periphery, and I ate the rest!)
1 tbsp organic lemon juice (sprinkle/rub onto the apple slices)* 
1/2 tbsp raw honey (spread on your apple slices)
Cinnamon & Sea Salt to drizzle on 
Granola to sprinkle on top and add a nice crunch!
Prep time was 5 minutes, and oven time was about 10.  You can take out your crostinis when they're a nice golden brown, or depending on how cooked you like them!  And there you have, gluten-free, AND vegan treats!


*lemon juice helps keep the integrity of the apple an prevents over-browning (oxidation).

Also, as always the amounts are mere guesstimations- feel free to adjust/subsitute as you wish!
